MR. IKRAMUDDIN A mechanical contractor working in DCM (1980). Through his experience and skills, he started a business, manufacturing welding electrodes, to serve the best electrodes on the market. Here, Bright Electrodes was born in 1987. After achieving its success, he opened a new unit named Kota Electrodes (1992) with his talented sons, Mr. Muzibur Rehman and Mr. Hafizur Rehman.
We are an ISO 9001:2015 company. Our product brands include Weld Metal, Weldkit, Crown Weld, Orient and Bright Arc. Our products are approved by Lloyd’s Register London, Bureau Veritas, Indian boiler regulation 1950, and BIS (ISI Mark). We are planning to have our product approved by many prestigious organizations and are continuously striving to obtain more.

WELDKIT 6013 – A mild steel electrode for general-purpose fabrication.
1992
KOTA ELECTRODES was set up following BRIGHT ELECTRODES’ success.
1993
WELD METAL 6013 – A mild steel electrode for general-purpose welding. Approved under BIS classification ER:4211X, Bureau Veritas, Indian Boiler Regulation, and Llyod’s Register (London).
1994
CROWN WELD 6013 – A mild steel electrode for light fabrication purposes. Approved by BIS (ISI-marked) in classification ER:4121.
1995
METAL ARC 6013 – METAL ARC was introduced in the market as a more economical alternative to WELD Metal and WELDKIT.
1997
BRIGHT ARC 6013 – BRIGHT ARC was introduced in the market as a more economical alternative to WELD Metal and WELDKIT.
1998
WELD METAL 308L – A stainless steel electrode for the welding of 18/8 chrome-nickel austenitic stainless steel.
2000
WELD METAL HARD V – A hard-surfacing, air-hardening-type electrode for welding those steels that require a surface up to 650 Brinell.

WELD METAL Cast Iron NM (Non Machinable) – A medium-coated, low-hydrogen-type electrode for non-machinable welds on cast iron.

WELD METAL Cut Fast – A cutting and gauging electrode specialized as a welding tool designed for precision cutting and shaping of metals

ORIENT 6013 – A mild steel electrode for general-purpose welding. Approved under BIS classification ER:4211.
2016
WELD METAL – S 6013 – A super-quality, medium-heavy coating electrode for heavy and radiographic fabrication work. It is approved by BIS in classification ER:4211X, IBR, Bureau Veritas, and Lloyd’s Register for shipping.

WELD METAL 7018 – A basic-coated iron powder with low hydrogen electrodes, specially designed for welding medium-high-tensile steels with RADIOGRAPHIC-quality welds. Weld metal recovery is at least 110%.
