WELD METAL-HARD V

HARD SURFACING ELECTRODES
 WELD METAL-HARD V
DESCRIPTION:

WELD METAL-HARD V is a basic coated electrode developed for the hard surfacing of steel subjected to wear due to impact and abrasion. This electrode is highly resistant to cracking and exhibits excellent resistance to tempering up to 750 °C. Its very stable arc and smooth transfer of alloying elements to weld deposit ensure completely crack-free sound weld metal. The weld metal is an air-hardening or alloy-hardening type and gives 600 to 650 BHN hardness in the first layer and also in the in the multi-layer.

APPLICATIONS:

WELD METAL-HARD V is suitable for the welding of such types of steel as: Cane Cutting Knives, Bamboo Chipper Knives, Disintegrate Hammers, Oil Explorer Worms, mine rails, Conveyor Buckets, Crane Wheels, Plow Shares, Concrete Mixer Blades, Shear Blades Lip, Excavator Teeth, Screw Conveyors, Wire drawing drums, railway tracks, etc.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

Re-dry the electrodes at 350°C for one hour or 250°C for two hours. Use low-current, short-arc, and stringer bead techniques to avoid high current. Store the electrodes in a dry place. In the case of reconditioning heavily worn-out parts, apply a buffer layer with our WELD METAL 7018 electrodes.
